Due to a costuming snafu, there is a real possibility that I will be performing my main Cthulhu scene shirtless. Unless “we’ll see how it goes in rehearsal” is a sort of coded “you wanna be a star, don’t you?”

Turns out “do the Cthulhu program as an old-style broadsheet” sounds fantastic (and will probably be fantastic), but at this stage requires me to write a fuckton of archaic news copy to fill up these rickety columns. The headline jenga-stacks are fun though.

me: Christ. Why did I schedule myself to work the next dubstep show.
me: Why do I hate me?
Rob: I mean, what if, like, dubstep is really great and it just takes a few listens to properly appreciate?
Rob: ...
me: Say that to my face.
Rob: I'm not even sure I could physically speak those words.

My Grandma "On Birth Control"
Nanna: We've been getting free samples of birth control for your sister from the doctor because our health insurance doesn't cover any form of it.
Me: How does that even make sense?
Nanna: I called the insurance company yesterday and asked the same thing. I said to them "So you would rather pay for a teenage girl to give birth than help her pay for something that will prevent it? Well that just doesn't make a damn bit of sense."
Me: They really don't cover any birth control, at all?
Nanna: Kristen, this is why I voted for Obama. These companies are just out to get your money. If she has a baby, that's just one more insurance client.
Me: Preach it Nanna!
